We have a set of 9″ deep shelving units (IKEA Gersbys), and most storage baskets are either too deep or too shallow. These fit well front to back and are reasonably attractive. We’ve had some for several years and they’ve held up very well, and we just ordered a new set for some additional shelves.
Be aware that although they are listed as 11½ inches wide, with the rope handles they’re more like 12½, so they can’t sit side by side on the shelf. Boo. But overall, not the worst case.
